About the Award

The award was created to recognize and celebrate community members who have met and exceed the Dufferin County Multicultural Foundation’s mission to promote cultural education, experiences and diversity.

 

The Foundation would like to highlight those in the community who have helped shape a more inclusive community, who have actively worked to create equal opportunities, and who have the common goal to achieve an inclusive, supportive, and diverse community where we all can thrive, and who understand that diversity is our strength.

The Foundation is seeking public nominations for residents that satisfy the following criteria:

Award Eligbility, Category and Criteria

Eligibility

  • Dufferin County or Caledon resident

  • Works in Dufferin County or Caledon

 

Category

  • Youth under 24

  • Adults 24+

 

Criteria

  • Embraces differences, diversity and linguistic duality

  • Leads by example through volunteering personal time and or working within the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion field to foster an environment that is conducive to empowerment, engagement and commitment

  • Demonstrates outstanding commitment to insure that the community is inclusive, respectful and welcoming for all through involvement in various activities, events, and boards of management.
