2021 Dufferin-Caledon Multicultural Award

Kyle Seeback was elected Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon on
October 21, 2019.
He is a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario and has been certified by the University of Windsor Law School.
Since being elected as the MP for Dufferin-Caledon, Kyle has become a strong
champion of small businesses, farmers, and ensuring residents in rural areas
have access to reliable and affordable high-speed internet.
In his university years, Kyle swam for the Canadian national team and in 1989,
was ranked in the world’s Top 16 Swimmers in his specialty, the 200m butterfly.

Steve Anderson is the Deputy Mayor for Town of Shelburne & Regional Councillor for the County of Dufferin;
A Senior Lawyer with the Toronto Transit Commission;
A member of the County of Dufferin Diversity, Inclusion & Equity Committee;
Former member of the Town of Shelburne’s Anti-Racism & Discrimination Task Force.

Johanna Downey is a life-long resident of Caledon, honours graduate from Guelph Humber, active community volunteer, wife, and mother of four.
Having lived in both the village of Bolton and on rural farm properties, Johanna represents both a growing urban area and much of Caledon's rich agricultural lands.
She strongly supports planning principles that feature active transportation, community hubs and green spaces.
As the chair of Diversity Equity and Anti-Racism for the Region of Peel Councillor Downey has focused on impacts of systemic racism through service delivery, health care and human services. Working with Community Safety and Well Being Committee to address systemic discrimination, family violence and mental health and the importance of providing supports in these area with equity.
